The Whistler distillery between Henneman and Riebeeckstad is now available to rent for functions
From weddings with personality to family reunions and corporate functions for people with an appreciation of good quality rum and the best a working farm in the Free State has to offer.
Relaxed, rustic and honest, the Whistler rum distillery is like the friend you’ve known for 20 years. Sometimes you talk of good old days with loud and dramatic conversations followed by hysterical laughter. Sometimes you simply sit in silence. Either way, you're having the most enjoyable time.
Wide, never-ending Free State views surround this one-of-a-kind venue. From formal to informal. From loud and fun, to intimate and serious. The Whistler Distillery venue adapts to most occasions.
The venue can seat about 100 guests but provision can be made for more if need be. After-all, we've managed events with over 1000 people before. You are welcome to bring your caterer, but we could also suggest one of our trusted favourites. Venue hire includes a bar stocked with Whistler African Style rum, our latest signature cocktails and other necessities, as well as a tour of the distillery. This is ideal for a unique wedding – to have a distillery tour to keep wedding guests entertained between the “I do’s” and the reception.
With distillery tours, we entertain your guests for up to an hour with tours that include a complete overview of the Whistler rum distillery as well as a tasting and pairing of our available rums. Sometimes we even include rums not available for sale yet.
We can also offer outdoor activities such as clay pigeon shooting upon request. Little ones to entertain? No problem, we also have access to kiddies entertainment such as jumping castles.
